How to begin was quite difficult as there is so much I could say. I lived in the UK for over 20 years and Stella played such a big part in my life there. She was such a strong, independent, woman who didn’t take any nonsense from anyone but showed respect before all else. 
She was such a good role model for my daughters, who loved their grandmother. We spent nearly every Christmas in Stamford, only missing a few when I came back home to Australia.

Nothing was out of her reach, she travelled the world at age 90! Never complained, never offered un-necessary advice but would always seek information when she felt it necessary. 

When we moved back to Australia to live, she remained positive and told us to do what we needed to do, she would be fine and in Stella’s words, “the world is a much smaller place now”.

I will always treasure the memories of the many debates, political discussions and laughter we shared over the years. I am just so pleased that I was able to have Stella in my life and in the life of my girls. You are back with Stan and Bernard now Stella, many long and interesting discussions to come.
